Instructional Delivery

Teachers effectively engage students in learning by using a variety of instructional strategies in order to meet individual learning needs.

The purpose of the instructional delivery standard is to ensure teachers are able to effectively share their knowledge with their students.  The goal of this standard is to provide students with teachers who are not only knowledgeable in content and pedagogy but also skilled in communication.  Teachers can excel at this standard by communicating clearly, finding ways to attach new material to background knowledge, and by differentiating lesson plans to reach all students.
