Student Academic Progress

Teachers’ work results in acceptable, measurable, and appropriate student academic progress. 

The purpose of the student academic progress standard is to ensure teachers actively monitor student learning throughout the course of the school year.  The standard’s goal is to show how completely a student is reaching the criteria necessary for advancing to the next level.  The objective is to provide means for interpreting student data so that adjustments can be made as necessary throughout the progression of the course.

One of the most critical pieces of a student’s progress is his or her literacy.  Reaching all students regardless of their current reading levels is one of my chief priorities.  As such, I have created text sets to teach several different topics while helping all students find success in reading and improve on their literacy progress.  An example text set list can be seen by clicking this link:
